I am so excited to be working on this new project! I love working with clients to turn an outdated or disorganized space into something fresh and new. In this case, the project is a master bathroom. The home was built in 2004 so the bathroom wasn’t completely outdated, just not a great design.
For this project, the challenge was to turn a builder grade master bathroom into a spa-like oasis. The design had to incorporate an infrared sauna, a large shower, and more drawer space in the vanity. In addition, there really wasn’t any room in the budget to make major structural changes. I looked online for some inspiration and saw a few pictures that I liked.
Based on the project parameters and inspiration pictures, I decided to do the following:
- Remove existing shower
- Repair walls
- Replace shower with sauna
- Remove existing soaking tub
- Install double shower stall with tile surround and frameless glass doors
- Replace vanity cabinets
- Install double drawer base cabinets
- Install solid surface countertop with undermount rectangle shaped sinks
- Remove mirror
- Replace with framed mirrors
- Replace vanity lights
- A clean, modern color pallette
- Gray, white, pale pink
The contractor for this project is Thomas’ Flooring and Bath. I have worked with Thomas on other projects in the past…he is awesome! He is very meticulous with the project details which is important to me. The quality of his work is impressive. It looks like this project will take about 3 weeks to complete. I will update you once it’s completed so you can see how it turns out!
